Your quick picks for Thanksgiving

November 24th 2011 18:57
: Happy Turkey Day!
Packers 28, Detroit 24

It's only 7-0 right now, but I'm expecting a big second half. 7 picks in the last 7 days? When did Stafford become Phillip Rivers?

Cowboys 35, Dolphins 20

Exactly

Ravens 24, Niners 20

I hate this pick because:

A) The Niners are really good and
B) I have no idea which Joe Flacco is going to show up tonight. You know what...

Niners 21, Ravens 18

Now I'm banking on Alex Smith against a very good D. Hey, if TJax can do it...

I'll have the rest of the picks up soon. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

This is what I have been saying the entire year and people are finally realizing it; the Lions are overrated. It all starts with Matthew Stafford, who is a league-average quarterback and was grossly overrated. He's actually not all that much better than Shaun Hill. Stafford trusts his arm way too much, and it leads to some ghastly interceptions when he's not being bailed out by Megatron. Seriously, Johnson is so beast that he makes Staff look better than he truly is. Their offensive line is too inconsistent, their secondary has only one legit cover man (Chris Houston), and they don't have talent at the skill positions on offense aside from Johnson and an average Stafford. Cory Redding is one of the most underrated linemen in the league, what he was doing to a poor offensive line just wasn't fair. Terrell Suggs broke a streak of three consecutive games without a sack (first time since '09) with three sacks. Although he is one of the best pass rushers in the game, his incredible work in run defense gets largely unnoticed.
