Free Football Picks From Unsportsman 9/24
September 24th 2010 16:51
We're a day late, but better late than never!
We had a bit of a down week last week in terms of W/L, but most of our losses came of smaller bets - and each of our big bets came off as winners! It was another up week for us in the wallet!
We're going to stick to College Football for this week's picks. Even better, we're going to stick to the Northwest as much as possible. As we're running a little late, we've cut down our explanations.
Let's get to it....
Last Week's Line: 2-3-0
Season Line: 4-5-1
USC minus 22 over Washington State
USC has no post season chance. They'll make a point here - as they should all season - of stomping PAC-10 teams to prove they are still the cream of the crop. Too bad for WSU to start it off.
Stanford minus 4.5 over Notre Dame
Stanford's O-line has been dominant and has given QB Andrew Luck ample opportunity to make opposing teams pay. Notre Dame's D-line hasn't looked great. This one could get lopsided.
Oregon minus 11 over Arizona State
Oregon's run to the top of the PAC-10 (now that USC is out of the way) doesn't stumble here. Look for the Ducks to make it impressive in conference.
Texas minus 15.5 over UCLA
A powder blue football team from California traveling to the heart and soul of Texas college football? Not a good outcome for the Bruins.
Boise State -17.5 over Oregon State
Boise State has to win big from here on out to prove they are worth their salt. Oregon State is the toughest test left on their plate. It could get ugly as the Broncos stake their claim.
TCU minus 17 over SMU
I know this one isn't from the NW. But follow me here... Last week SMU allowed lowly Washington State to put up 21 points against them - and no, those points didn't come in garbage time. TCU is in the same boat as Boise State. They have to blow people out to stay relevant.
