Ex-Seattle Player(s) of the Week!

A Crushing Pick...
We simply couldn't let this week go by without a shout out to some Ex-Seattle players for their game changing performances on national TV.
Both in the real world, and in fantasy, as a fellow writer on Unsportsman wrote about in his article here, this week's player single handedly changed the outcome of more than one matchup!
Of course, the natural conclusion you all have come to by now is that we have selected none other than Josh Wilson for this award... Not quite. While we would like to recognize Wilson for his dramatic game changing/ending play - we can only do so because of another Ex-Seattle player. Who could we possibly be talking about?
None other than...
Cory Redding. That's right folks. Cory. Redding.
I can hear you all asking yourselves "why?" Undoubttedly, your first thought was, "well, he had to be the guy that got pressure on Matt Schaub and forced the worst decision in the world." No, in fact, Redding wasn't even on the field for that play (the pressure was provided by none other than H. Ngata by the way). Well, before you all run to your DVR's and see how Redding was involved in the play - I'll save you the time...
Cory Redding was the captain who made the coin toss call to begin the overtime period that allowed Baltimore to get the ball first in the OT period. Now, you might be saying, "well yeah, of course you want the ball first in OT." Sure that's true. But you also have to remember that the Baltimore defense had literally JUST been worn down by a 95-yard Houston drive and subsequent game tying 2-pt conversion. Simply put, they needed time to rest. No one knew that better than Redding. In fact, he could barely stand up straight for the coin toss...
Don't believe me? Go to the DVR's check it out. Look how dog-tired the Baltimore defense is on the sidelines after that end-of-regulation drive by the Texans. I've seen Josh Wilson play in person several times. No way he makes the pick and returns it all 12 yards without that extra rest. 12 yards would have simply been too far, he would have had to have taken a knee. Period.
With that said, and without delay...
Congrats Cory Redding (and I guess Josh Wilson) for winning the Ex-Seattle player of the Week Award!!!
